Absolutely wonderful experience at Modern Plate! From the moment we sat down, the service and ambiance made the evening feel special. David, our waiter, was outstanding. He laughed and joked with us, made us feel so welcome, and was truly ahead of the game in anticipating what we needed before we even asked. His recommendations were excellent and made the meal even better. Jason, the manager, also came by and was so kind and attentive, even adjusting the lighting and blinds to make sure everything felt just right. Paula, the live pianist, brought such a classy and elegant vibe to the restaurant and really elevated the whole atmosphere. Overall, Modern Plate offers amazing service, a beautiful ambiance, and a team that clearly cares about creating a memorable dining experience. We will definitely be back!

If you’re looking for a great place in Elmhurst with amazing food, drinks, and atmosphere, I highly recommend Modern Plate. But what really makes this place stand out is Amanda Corso. Amanda is hands down the best bartender ever. She’s welcoming, friendly, remembers people, and somehow always keeps the energy fun while making everyone feel like a regular. Her drink recommendations are spot on, service is fast even when busy, and she genuinely makes the whole experience better. Great food, great atmosphere, and Amanda turns a night out into one you actually look forward to coming back for. Highly recommend stopping in and grabbing a seat at the bar! 🍻

Had a retirement party there this weekend. EVERYTHING was top-notch! Jason was incredibly helpful with the planning and throughout the entire evening. The food was amazing, and so was the staff! They were very attentive and personable. A special shout out to Ted as well for making the rest of the evening so memorable! 10-10 all around. Can’t wait to go back!

Hosted a retirement party here and Jason and the rest of the staff were so incredible! From planning and taking care of our group of around 50, they really made it a memorable party. Everyone was raving about the amazing food! Favorites included the pork belly with cheesy grits and the braised short ribs with the risotto, but everything was truly perfect. Highly recommend for future gatherings. We will DEFINITELY be back again! Thank you Modern Plate staff for taking care of us and making it a great night.

You can always count on the modern plate to serve up excellent food. The service is great and the atmosphere is nice. Recently, we had the beef au jus sandwich and the grilled salmon. Both very tasty.

Celebrated 2 birthdays with a party of 17 on a Sat evg. Very busy ! Our Server Nathan was amazing. Always attentive & patient with us. Food was delicious ! Thank You!

Service was fantastic. Shout out Lizzy! Good was great. Very tasty. Drinks we're excellent... Well balanced. Atmosphere was what you'd expect from a restaurant of this caliber. They were also very accommodating to vegetarians. Desserts were 10/10!!!

Had breakfast my bartender was Amanda S. She greeted me right away and was very quick to get my beer/s. I wanted to try something new and she recommended the salmon toast. I added avocado and 2 sunny side up eggs. It’s was a dream! The cook brought it out. She made me coffee to go since I was in a rush. Check out was fast. Everything was perfect, host, busser, bartender even the manager checked in on me. Would highly recommended everything about this restaurant. Thanks !

Went in for lunch and had the power grain salad with wine. Deliciousness! Our waitress was Amanda who was very busy for a Monday. Our food was delivered very fast by the chef. It was great and the staff worked as a team to make ur experience amazing! Amanda was so fast and attentive. Definitely will return! Thanks modern plate staff!
