Wonderful place, amazing music! One of the first experiences I've had at a "Modern American" restaurant where I didn't feel ripped off. The drinks were delicious and strong, the food was reasonably priced and delicious!! Better Cuban sandwhich than the one I had in Miami. Kristina and manager Jason took great care of us. WILL RETURN!

A consistently fantastic experience at Modern Plate

Modern Plate never disappoints. The food is always delicious, creative, and clearly made with high‑quality ingredients. Every dish feels thoughtfully crafted, and the prices are more than fair for the level of care and flavor they deliver.

On my recent visit, the bar team Iwona and Amanda were outstanding. Even on a busy night with a high volume of orders, they stayed attentive, friendly, and incredibly efficient. The drinks were made well, balanced, and consistent, and you could see how hard they were working to keep everything flowing smoothly.

Great food, great service, and great people. Modern Plate continues to be one of the best dining experiences around.

From the time we arrived for brunch until we left, it was a great dining experience. Food was very good and reasonable for a price perspective. Our server was very friendly and attentive. I will definitely be back and would add it to the list of brunch spots to try in Elmhurst.

We hosted our theater group’s end-of-season party here and it was a wonderful experience and the perfect place for a large group. The staff and management were a pleasure to work with: friendly, accommodating, and on top of every detail.

Wow what a great place. We sat at the bar. Amanda and Iwona are very attentive and really make you feel comfortable. The wine was good and they had the ncaa basketball games on the TV. There is a band playing in the outside patio tonight in the rear of the place but we couldn't stay for that. This is a great place to visit in the heart of downtown Elmhurst. Thank you ladies for your great service. I will tell everyone about this place. You deserve it.
