Great fig burger and spritz and service was fantastic

My wife and I went there for the first time this weekend, and everything was fantastic. Really, really great food, great atmosphere, and both managers and our waiter were very attentive and made sure everything was great. We will definitely be back again.

Someone has really done a great job designing this place. The ambiance is great.
The manager on duty was Jason. He was attentive and very professional.
Our waiter was Dario, who was very knowledgeable about the food and drink menu. He gave us amazing service. He didn’t crowd us but was attentive.
We had Roasted Cauliflower for appetizer and split a Ribeye Steak Sandwich for the main entree. The food was delicious.
This place gets a 5/5 for the food, service, ambiance, cleanliness and drinks.

There is private space in the back for concerts and private parties called space 119 . It can accommodate up to 350 ppl. What a hidden gem!!!

Just dined at Modern Plate for the first time and I will definitely return. Ample seating--tables, booths, large bar, indoor and outside. Great selection of food and many creative cocktails.

Really nice menu. Great list of sandwiches and appetizers. Calamari was good, Pot Roast Dip was pretty fantastic. Great service.

Modern Plate is a fantastic spot for fresh pastries and great coffee. Their baked goods are always delicious, with just the right balance of flavor and texture. I love how cozy and stylish the café feels, making it a perfect place to relax or catch up on work. The coffee is rich and smooth, and the staff is always warm and welcoming. This place has become my go-to for a morning treat or afternoon pick-me-up.

We went to this new-to-us restaurant yesterday on the way home from the city. It has a bar area, large nicely decorated indoor dining room and outside dining along the sidewalk. We chose to sit outside since it was beautiful weather.
Our server was Emily, who was so sweet, very attentive and provided great service. My husband and I didn’t have any cocktails - next time. We decided to share a couple items off the menu. We shared the Fig n’ Awesome Burger - fig jam, caramelized onion, arugula, havarti cheese - it was friggin’ amazing!! The restaurant was kind enough to split the burger and put it on two plates. We chose sweet potato fries as our side and they were the best I’ve ever had. They were thicker crinkle cut and had a real nice crisp on the outside but soft on the inside.
We also shared Nonna’s Meatball. There was a slight glitch as they had a huge catering order and had to make new meatballs from scratch so we had to wait a bit to get this appetizer. It gave us time to digest the decadent burger we just ate. When the manager Jason apologized for the delay, I mentioned to him at that time that I had to order Nonna’s Meatball because I just became a Nonna and we were just coming back from meeting our granddaughter at Northwestern. Jason comp’d us this appetizer as a congratulations. What?! So very nice! Great customer service for the delay and the congrats.
We’ll definitely be back to dine at Modern Plate again. We loved it and there’s so much more on the menu to explore.

Great happy hour, bartenders and excellent food. Highly recommend.

I had the pleasure of dining at here, and it was nothing short of amazing! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere that set the tone for the evening. The ambiance is elegant yet comfortable, making it perfect for a special occasion or even a casual night out.
The service was top-notch attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. Our server was happy to make recommendations, and every dish that came out was described with such enthusiasm that we couldn’t wait to dig in!
As for the food, it was absolutely delicious. The [starter/dish name] was a perfect beginning, and the [main dish name] was cooked to perfection. The flavors were balanced, and every bite felt like a celebration of fresh, high-quality ingredients. The dessert was the perfect way to end the meal light, flavorful, and just the right amount of sweet.
What really stood out to me, though, was the attention to detail. From the presentation to the thoughtful wine pairings, everything felt carefully crafted. The entire experience was a blend of excellent food, great service, and a welcoming atmosphere.
I can't recommend enough. If you're in the area, do yourself a favor and make a reservation you won’t regret it!

Went with several friends and we all sampled one another's dishes. Every plate was amazing. Service was exceptional!
